I think it's because people are craving EXPERIENCES now. They are tired of one-way broadcasts, schedules and other people's selections (no all of them, yet, of course). Content is perceived to be worth more when it comes with ConText.

Hi Gerd,
I can easily agree with this thesis. In Portugal, I developed an investigation about the motivations of the interaction in an expressive phone-in radio program and I concluded that a correlation could be established between a majority of respondents who justified his participation with citizenship reasons, but, at the same time, they said they could pay to ensure his participation.
